Univerity Tuition fees in Romania
Tuition fees in Romania: the foreign students has to pay the tuition fees for 9 or 10 months of the first year (depending on the university requirements) before the get Romanian student visa. From the second year, the foreign students can pay the tuition fees twice a year at beginning of each semester.
The tuition fees has to be paid at the bank account of university only after the applicant has received a the acceptance letter from Romanian Ministry of Education.
The foreign students must also pay for their Romanian-language entrance-test ($320) in case he has had a Romanian-language course at his/her home. The foreign students wishing to study in English in french or in Germany has also to pay between 300 and 500 $ dollars to language entrance test. Only are exempt to pay this tax those new student with language proficiency certificate.
Below are estimated tuition fees for the academic year 2011 - 2012. The finally tuition fees will be known after the decision of the senate of each university.
Undergraduate studies in Romania
- Tuition fee 2011-2012 (technical, economics, humanities, agronomy, sport) - 3,200 USD.
- Tuition fee 2011-2012 (medicine and pharmacy) - 3,600 USD.
- Tuition fee 2011-2012 (musical and autistics) - 4,700 USD.
- Tuition fee 2011-2012 (dramatic arts, theatre and film direction) - 7,600 USD.
Graduate studies in Romania
- Tuition fee 2011-2012 (technical, economics, humanities, agronomy, sport) - 3,400 USD.
- Tuition fee 2011-2012 (medicine and pharmacy) - 3,800 USD.
- Tuition fee 2011-2012 (musical and autistics) - 4,950 USD.
- Tuition fee 2011-2012 (dramatic arts, theatre and film direction) - 8,000 USD.
The above-mentioned tuition fees include the health insurance for 12 months in the same conditions offered to Romanian citizens, but do not include accommodation and meals.
Most of the Romanian universities have their own cafeteria within the campus. International students can be advised by the Study in Romania Admission Center Romania in order to identify the best accommodation and meal plan solutions.
